Dr. Hossein Jadvar is a tenured Professor of Radiology with joint appointments in Urology, Radiation Oncology, and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles, CA, USA. He is a fellow and past president of both the American College of Nuclear Medicine (ACNM) and the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI). He serves as the Chair for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Advisory Committee on Medical Uses of Isotopes (ACMUI) and is a Director in the American Board of Nuclear Medicine (ABNM). Dr. Jadvar received his MD from the University of Chicago (Pritzker), a PhD in bioengineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, the MPH degree from Harvard University, and both the executive MBA and the Master's in Studies of Law (MSL) degrees from USC. He completed an internship in internal medicine at UCSF, a diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine residency at StanfordUniversity, and a clinical fellowship in nuclear oncology at the Harvard Medical School Joint Program in Nuclear Medicine. He has received several awards including the NIH Resident Research Award, SNMMI Mark Tetalman Young Investigator Award, the Western Regional SNMMI Distinguished Scientist Award, the Academy for Radiology and Biomedical Imaging Research Distinguished Investigator Award, the inaugural fellowship in the USC Center for Excellence in Research, the inaugural Prof. Ajit Padhy Award from the World Association of Radiopharmaceutical and Molecular Therapy, the SNMMI PET Center of Excellence Peter Valk Memorial Award, the Dr. R.D. Lee Oration Award from the Association of Nuclear Medicine Physicians of India, the Best Mentor Awards from both USC and the ACNM, the Lifetime Achievement Award from the ACNM, and the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Harvard Medical School Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Radiology. He was an invited speaker and panelist in the 2025 Cancer Engineering Workshop of the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine (NASEM), in Washington, DC. He is an Associate/Deputy Editor for JNM, EJNMMI, Clinical Nuclear Medicine, Radiology, and Theranostics. He has written over 270 peer-reviewed journal articles, numerous conference abstracts and full articles, published 4 books and 41 book chapters, has been awarded 9 U.S. and European patents, and has had more than 300 invited lectureship and visiting professorships at national and international venues and universities. Dr. Hossein Javdar
Dr. John Buscombe

Dr. Buscombe trained in Medicine in London and following General Internal Medicine Training and Nuclear Medicine Training in London became a specialist in Nuclear Medicine in 1994. Initially working at the Royal Free Hospital, London until 2010. From 2010 till his retirement on January 1st, 2026, he was specialist in Nuclear Medicine in Cambridge and professor of Nuclear Medicine at the University of Pretoria. He has extensive research experience with 10,000 citations in over 250 publications in Nuclear Medicine, PET and Radionuclide Therapy. He has experience of SPECT and PET in infection and inflammation and co-authored the joint EANM/SNMMI guidelines for the use of FDG PET in infection.

Luísa completed a BSc in Nuclear Medicine in Lisbon School of Health Technology, in Portugal, and has worked in the UK since then. She completed the MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice, by the University of Brighton. So far, her career included roles such as Nuclear Medicine Therapy Lead, Departmental Superintendent, Radiation Protection Supervisor and Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Nuclear Medicine Therapies, as well as multidisciplinary Lead for Advanced Practice in her Hospital. She also completed a Clinical Fellowship with NHS England about Enhanced, Advanced and Consultant roles in Imaging and Radiotherapy. Luísa is the Chair of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine Technologists' Committee, where she contributes to the advancement of the profession and professional standards across Europe. Her interest and commitment to Audit and Quality Improvement englobed training as an ISO 9001 assessor, Quality, service improvement and redesign (QSIR) practitioner, investigating serious incidents, being part of the national Quality Standards for Imaging (QSI) from the United Kingdom Accreditation System (UKAS) team and regularly conducting assessments. More recently, Luisa was appointed as a specialist advisor for the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and a Centre Reviewer for the Centre for Advancing Practice, as well as part of a NICE Technology Appraisal Committee. Luisa is an active member of the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine, participating in the national training programme and the Future Skills Commission.

Dr. Savvas Frangos is a nuclear medicine specialist at the Nuclear Medicine Department and the Thyroid Cancer Clinic of the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Center in Nicosia, Cyprus. He obtained his Board Certification in Nuclear Medicine in 1996 and is a Fellow of the European Board of Nuclear Medicine, where he has served for many years as a Member of the Fellowship Examination Committee. Dr. Frangos has held key leadership roles in the field, including serving as Secretary of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine and as Secretary and Treasurer of the Nuclear Medicine Section of the UEMS. He is currently the President of the World Federation of Nuclear Medicine and Biology (WFNMB) and President of the Cyprus Society of Nuclear Medicine. In addition to his clinical and organizational contributions, Dr. Frangos is actively involved in scientific publishing. He is a member of the editorial boards of the European Journal of Nuclear Medicine, The EANM Journal and the European Journal of Hybrid Imaging, as well as co-editor of the Hellenic Journal of Nuclear Medicine.
